What is Pilates?

Pilates is an exercise system developed by Joseph H. Pilates to strengthen muscles,  increase flexibility and improve overall health. Exercises are performed on a mat and on specially designed equipment. The Pilates system includes exercises for every part of the body and applications for every kind of activity.

About Us

Jenny is a senior Pilates instructor in North Vancouver with over 20 years of experience in both Pilates and ballet. In 2009, she founded ilovePilates, blending her extensive ballet expertise with her Pilates practice to offer a unique approach that benefits both dancers and non-dancers.

​

Holding degrees in dance and physical education, Jenny’s ballet background naturally led her to Pilates. This combination enhances physical conditioning and plays a vital role in injury prevention. Certified in POWER PILATES and STOTT PILATES®, she seamlessly integrates ballet principles into her teaching.

​

Jenny also has extensive experience teaching ballet, choreographing, and coaching students, particularly in the Imperial Classical Ballet system, where she holds multiple qualifications and mentors students.

​

Committed to her clients, Jenny helps them connect deeply with their bodies, unlock their full potential, and enjoy the transformative benefits of Pilates and ballet.

We offer a wide variety of classes to suit different needs and preferences:

Private Pilates
Experience one-on-one instruction with our experienced instructors, allowing for personalized attention and customized workouts.
 

Semi-private Pilates
Perfect for pairs, these sessions allow two people to work with the machines under the guidance of our expert instructors.
 

Group Mat Pilates
Join our group mat classes, which can accommodate up to four people, providing a communal and supportive environment for your practice.
